thursday step out

A FREE MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP BY TELEPHONE

Do you have a lot of “unfinished business” that seems to hover on the edges of your radar screen?  Maybe no one thing is of extreme importance – which is why you’ve been able to put it off for so long – but NOT doing whatever it is might be costing you money, peace of mind, or friends. 

How would it feel if, after our time together, you were able to:

  • Look at your cleaned-out closet with satisfaction?
  • Seal the envelope on your taxes and take it to the post office?
  • Open your file drawer and see the files neatly labeled and weeded?
  • Hand a finished section of your dissertation to a colleague to be edited?
  • Have the photographs from your trip arranged in an album?
  • See the surface of your dining room table with all junk mail removed?
  • Close the door on a freshly-painted room?

I guarantee you’d feel calmer and have a sense of accomplishment.  And you’d wonder why it took so long to act!

Maybe these aren’t exactly the things you want to work on, but I bet you have something similar in mind.  I’m offering a “virtual support group” for getting these things done.

Here’s how it works:

  • Once a month I’ll list a 3-hour time slot on the website and in the Intentional Path newsletter.  If you want to participate, you’ll send me an email. In return you’ll get an email with a phone number to call in on.
  • On the date specified, you’ll call a conference line at the top of the first hour.  We’ll take 5-10 minutes so everyone can do a quick check-in and share what they’re going to accomplish or, if it’s a bigger project, start during the hour.  (There is no charge for the conference line – just whatever you would normally pay to make a short, long-distance call.)
  • Call back at the top of the 2nd hour to share your progress, and what you plan to do for the next hour.  You’ll do the same at the top of the 3rd hour.
  • At the end of the 3 hours, you’ll call back a final time to report how you’ve done and get the kudos of your fellow conference call members.

That’s it!  It’s fun, it’s free, and it WORKS!  Doing something with the support of others - at a specified time - can give you the momentum you need to make real progress.  You can participate for the full 3 hours, or just participate for part of the time.

Here are the upcoming dates.  Take note of your time zone, and clear your calendar! Think about what you would like to work on first.

                        6-9 pm  (Eastern)
